Sourced from select vineyards in the Robertson Wine Valley, the Moedertaal Pinotage 2023 captures the depth and richness that define South Africa’s signature grape. Matured for 18 months in second-fill American oak, the wine displays a deep purple hue and inviting aromas of blackberry, mulberry, and ripe plum. Subtle layers of earthy spice and a gentle smokiness add intrigue and complexity.

 

On the palate, dark berry fruit is framed by silky tannins and a smooth, rounded texture, leading to a long, satisfying finish. Crafted in small quantities, this Pinotage reflects a careful balance between vibrant fruit, structure, and elegance — a true expression of artisanal winemaking.
